Designed Made Makers Market

We are thrilled to be presenting our annual Makers Market event again in 2024 and we are planning a big one! This year marks 10 years of our artist run market in the stunning ballroom in Hobart’s historic Town Hall.

This year we celebrate 10 years in this lovely location but, ultimately we are also celebrating the successes of this long run not for profit group which has supported local Tasmanian artists for over 20 years. Over this time we have collaborated and exhibited together regularly, allowing a collegial sharing of knowledge, support and advice to each other. It is a community built for artists, run by artists. 

The Market aims to present artists working across a variety of mediums, honouring traditional techniques, contemporary design and innovative product development. Our artists present an insight into truly handmade craftsmanship and excellence in object and product design.  

We invite you to join us from December 6 to 8, 2024, for a weekend brimming with creativity, innovation, and artistry.
