Devonport has been named Australia’s Top Tourist Town for 2024.
More than 150 towns across Australia entered the awards, with the winners being announced in Canberra on Tuesday morning].
Stanley in the state’s North-West, also won silver in the tiny town category for populations under 1500, while Richmond, in the South of the state, was awarded a bronze medal in the small towns category for populations between 1500 and 5000.

Devonport Mayor Alison Jarman is proud and excited with the win, which follows on from the North-West Coastal centre winning the Tasmanian award for two years in a row.
