The new Huon Link Road at Huonville in Tasmania’s south is opening to traffic this Monday (24th March).
$13.2 million was funded by the federal government and $16 million by the state.
Huon Mayor Sally Doyle’s looking forward to taking some of the road pressure out of Huonville.
“If you’ve ever been there at the roundabout in the main street of Huonville at school time you will know what I mean, this will alleviate some of that pressure that we have on our Main Street and make it easier for pedestrians to cross the road, long time coming but great news.”
