The State Government and Metro have unveiled new battery electric buses which will service Launceston in a two-year trial.
Minister for Environment and Climate Change, Roger Jaensch says each of the four buses has an electric motor powered by onboard batteries.
He says the trial will explore zero emissions transport options across Metro’s network.
