Tasmania’s to install it’s own more rigorous restrictions on vape products, surpassing federal rules for the rest of Australia.
Once passed through our state’s parliament, vapes will require a prescription, where interstate they won’t be necessary from October 1st.
Health Minister and Lyons MP Guy Barnett will also ban the sale of vaping goods to anyone under 18 years old.

“Our laws are absolutely valid, we’ve had this checked and reviewed very carefully, through an amendment to the Public Health Act, those laws will be introduced in the coming weeks, it’ll be available for all to see.”
