The October full moon, affectionately called the hunter’s moon, is set to be the brightest of this year’s four consecutive supermoons.
As Earth inches closer to the sun since September’s supermoon, this celestial event promises an unforgettable viewing experience.
Supermoons happen when the full moon is at its closest point to Earth during its orbit. While the moon itself doesn’t grow in size, it certainly appears larger and more impressive when it’s this close!
Set you alarms for 10:26 pm AEDT; however, the moon will look its biggest around dusk and will shine brightly through Friday evening.
Best of all, you won’t need a telescope to enjoy the hunter’s moon—it will be easily visible to the naked eye!
